This unique narrated aerial video (taken from a bush plane) shows and describes the whitewater rafting rapids of the Penobscot River in Maine, as well as the history of behind the names of its rapids. First you see the lower section (which is class III-IV and run in the morning on basic trips), then you see the lake, dam, and the power station of the upper gorge of the Penobscot River (a technical and difficult class V), and then travel on down to "The Cribworks" (a more difficult and challenging class V rapid). Then you fly over the final rapids to the take-out. The Penobscot River is rated a Class IV+ white water river overall, and is located adjacent to Baxter State Park in Maine.
